Introduction
The certification of this equipment relies upon the following materials used in its
construction
Enclosure: aluminum 6061T6
Window: sapphire glass
Seals: EPDM
If the equipment is likely to come into contact with aggressive substances (described
below), then it is your responsibility to take suitable precautions (described below) to
prevent the equipment from being adversely affected, thus ensuring that the type of
protection provided by the equipment is not compromised.
Aggressive substances: for example, acidic liquids, gases that may attack metals, or
solvents that may affect polymeric materials
Suitable precautions: for example, regular checks as part of routine inspections or
establishing from the material's data sheet that it is resistant to specific chemicals.
