WARNINGS

use this product in explosive atmospheres, near fl ammable
liquids, or where explosion proof or intrinsically safe
lighting is required.
y DO NOT use this product in the proximity of vehicles or
equipment when there is a risk of fl ammable liquids coming
into contact with the fl ashlight.
y Light can become hot while on. To prevent damage
DO NOT cover or place next to any potentially fl ammable
materials while in use.
y Do not leave the battery in direct sunlight or use or store
the battery inside cars in hot weather.
y Do not expose the battery to water or salt water, or allow
the battery to get wet.
y Do not store the battery with metallic objects that may
cause a short circuit.
y Immediately discontinue use of the battery if the battery
emits an unusual smell, feels hot, changes color, changes
shape or appears abnormal in any way.
y Keep out of the reach of children.
INITIAL USE
Fully charge the UVR-588XL before the fi rst use, or if
the battery is new or has been unused for several months.
The maximum charge time required is approximately 6 hours.

CHARGING THE LIGHT
The USB charging port is inside of the rotating sleeve
located below the head of the light.
Open Rotating Sleeve
y Expose the USB charging port by twisting the sleeve and
rotating it to the left.
y Continue rotating the sleeve and slide it downward on
the handle.
Plug into USB port to charge
The light ships with a USB-C charging cable. It can be
charged using any of the following methods:
y USB port on a computer (NOTE: Charging times vary
depending on the computer)
y USB port in vehicles
y USB vehicle charger for cigarette lighter port (not
included)
y USB-compliant AC to DC USB wall charger similar to ones
used with most cell phones (not included)
The typical charge time is approximately 3 hours. Actual
time may vary depending on the remaining charge in the
battery and method of charging. Ambient temperature can
also effect charging time.
The charge indicator light located directly above the
charging port will turn red while the charging and green
when fully charged. Light will turn red when battery capacity
reaches approximately 30%.
Close Rotating Sleeve
y Cover the USB charging port by twisting the sleeve and
rotating it to the right.
y Continue rotating the sleeve and slide it upward on the
handle.
WARNING: When the rotating sleeve is open, the light is
no longer IP-X7 Waterproof
OPERATION
The tail cap switch operates the UV light and the body
switch operates the fl oodlight.
UV Light - Tail Cap Switch
y Momentary-on: Half press and hold without clicking.
Release to turn off.
y Constant-on: Full press, click and release turns on or off.
y Select UV brightness level: Press and hold to cycle
between high and low. Release when desired level is
reached. The light will continue to cycle between levels at a
rate of approximately one mode per second as long as the
switch is held down.
White Floodlight - Body Switch
Constant-on - Full press, click and release turns on or off.
Dual-Light
The fl oodlight and UV light can be turned on at the same
time.
CR-123 BATTERY CARRIER
The CR123 battery carrier converts the UVR-588XL
from rechargeable Lithium-ion to non-rechargeable Lithium
battery operation.

Load two CR-123 Lithium batteries with the positive
terminals pointing in the direction of the arrow. NOTE: The
fl ashlight cannot be charged with the CR-123 CARRIER
installed.
LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY
Bayco Products, Inc. warrants this product to be free
from defects in workmanship and materials for the original
purchaser's lifetime. The Limited Lifetime Warranty includes
the LEDs, housing and lenses. Rechargeable batteries,
chargers, switches, electronics and included accessories are
warranted for a period of two years with proof of purchase.
Normal wear and failures which are caused by accidents,
misuse, abuse, faulty installation and lightning damage are
excluded.
We will repair or replace this product should we determine
it to be defective. This is the only warranty, expressed or
implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fi tness
for a particular purpose.

y Ne pas laisser la batterie en contact direct avec les
rayons de soleil ou utiliser ou conserver la batterie à
l'intérieur des autos lorsqu'il fait chaud.
y Ne pas mettre la batterie dans l'eau ou l'eau salée. La
batterie ne doit jamais être mouillée.
y Ne pas conserver la batterie avec des objets métalliques
qui peuvent causer un court-circuit.
y Cesser immédiatement d'utiliser la batterie si elle émet
une odeur inhabituelle, semble chaude, change de couleur
ou de forme ou paraît anormal.
y Garder hors de la portée des enfants.
UTILISATION INITIALE
Chargez la UVR-588XL à bloc avant la première
utilisation ou si la batterie est neuve ou n'a pas été utilisée
depuis plusieurs mois. La durée maximale de charge requise
est d'environ 4 heures.
CHARGEMENT DE LA LAMPE
Le port USB pour le chargement se trouve à l'intérieur de
l'anneau rotatif situé sous la tête de la lampe.
Ouvrir l'anneau rotatif
y Exposer le port USB pour le chargement en appuyant sur
l'anneau et en le tournant vers la gauche.
y Continuer à tourner l'anneau et le faire glisser vers le bas
du manche de la lampe.
Brancher le câble dans le port USB pour charger la lampe
La lampe est équipée d'un port USB-C et d'un câble
USB-C pour le chargement. Elle peut être chargée selon les
méthodes suivantes :
y Port USB sur un ordinateur (Remarque : le temps de
chargement varie selon l'ordinateur)
y Port USB dans les véhicules
y Chargeur USB pour port allume-cigare (non compris)
y Chargeur mural USB conforme à la norme CA/CC USB

La durée de charge habituelle est d'environ 3 heures. La
durée de charge peut varier selon la charge restante dans
la batterie et les méthodes de chargement. La température
ambiante peut également affecter la durée de charge.
Le voyant lumineux de charge, situé directement au-
dessus du port de charge, passera au rouge lorsque la
lampe est en chargement et au vert lorsque la lampe est
complètement chargée. Le voyant deviendra rouge lorsque
la capacité de la batterie atteint environ 30 %.
Fermer l'anneau rotatif
y Couvrir le port USB pour le chargement en appuyant sur
l'anneau et en le tournant vers la droite.
y Continuer à tourner l'anneau et le faire glisser vers le
haut du manche de la lampe.
AVERTISSEMENT: LORSQUE L'ANNEAU ROTATIF
EST OUVERT, LA LAMPE N'EST PLUS ÉTANCHE
CONFORMÉMENT À LA NORME IP-X7.
FONCTIONNEMENT
L'interrupteur du capuchon arrière actionne la lumière
UV et l'interrupteur du corps actionne le projecteur.

y Allumage momentané : appuyez à moitié et maintenez
sans cliquer. Relâchez pour éteindre.
y Allumé en permanence : une pression complète, un clic
et un relâchement s'allument ou s'éteignent.
