825-PR12D RTD Scanner
Connect Terminal 26 to an appropriate ground.
Apply line power to the 825-PR12D at one of the following terminal
combinations:
120 Vac–Terminal 23 is Hot and Terminal 24 is Neutral
240 Vac–Terminal 23 is Hot and Terminal 25 is Neutral
The 825-PR12D will power up and perform internal diagnostics. The
scanner is ready when the green ENABLED LED illuminates (allow as
much as 25 seconds maximum).
Verify that the red TX LED pulses approximately every 0.6 seconds
(less than 0.75 seconds maximum). Each pulse corresponds to the
transmission of RTD data and device status.
Connect the 825-PR12D to the 825-P Motor Relay as shown in
Figure 1. Set the relay as directed in 825-P Motor Relay Application
on page 8.
NOTE:
The 825-P front panel may display RTD Failure if
the correct RTDs are not yet connected. The 825-P
METER T report displays the RTD temperature as Comm
Fail if the fiber connection is not operating properly.
Follow the wiring diagram in Figure 2 to connect RTDs to the
825-PR12D.
NOTE:
If RTDs are not available, test the 825-PR12D RTD
inputs by connecting all three terminals for each RTD
together. For example, using two short wires, connect
Terminals 01, 02, and 03 together. The 825-P METER T
report displays the corresponding temperature as Short.
