The number of flushing intervals depends on the contamination of the pond
water.
Regular flushing of the pressure filter is very important, a too dirty pressure filter
can cause overpressure which can lead to leakage and damage. A pressure filter
that is too dirty will adversely affect the operation and automatic flushing and can
lead to additional wear and damage. When determining the cleaning intervals, the
rule is that the pressure filter should be able to rinse itself in about 2 minutes
(rinsing time), the rinse water should flow out of the filter clean again within
these 2 minutes. If dirty water still comes out of the drain line after about 2 min
of flushing, the number of flushing intervals will have to be increased.
Filter foam cleaning:
1)
The filter foam (9) should be cleaned at least every week, especially
when flow decreases and the orange dirt indicator (I) in the backwash
lever (H) indicates this.
2)
Turn the pump off by unplugging the pump from the electrical outlet.
3)
Turn the backwash lever (H) to the "Clean" position. The return outlet
(G) to the pond closes and the drain outlet (H) opens. The cleaning
wringer (L) will start rotating and wring the dirt out of the sponge.
During this rinse (2-3 min.) you will hear an intermittent beep tone
(beep - beep - beep ....)
4)
Turn the pump back on by plugging in the pump. The dirt will now flow
away with the water through the drain.
5)
At the end of the rinse you will hear a constant beep tone, this means
the rinse is over and the filter can be returned to filter position. The
wringer is turned off.
6)
Check if dirty water is still coming out of the drain line.
7)
Turn off the pump by unplugging the pump from the outlet.
8)
To finish this rinse, the backwash lever (H) can be turned to the "Filter"
position. The filter will close the drain outlet (H) and open the return
outlet (G) to the pond.
9)
If the water (checked at point 6) was not clean, start again at point 3. It
is important to increase flushing intervals. If the water is clean
10) Turn the pump back on by plugging in the pump. The water will flow to
the pond again.
11) If necessary, refill the pond with clean tap water.
Wash and replace the filter foam and bio-material:
If after cleaning the flow rate is still too low, or the pressure filter becomes dirty
very quickly, the filter foam must be washed or replaced. Use only clean tap or
pond water for washing.
Observe the safety instructions.
CAUTION: UV-C light is harmful to skin and eyes. Always turn off the UV-C lamp
before starting any work.
