Basic Camera Setup: The Setup Menu
The setup menu contains the following options.
Choose HOME display
Choose a design for the HOME screen.
Welcome screen
Select screen displayed when camera is turned on.
Date
Set camera clock and choose home and destination time zones.
Monitor settings
Adjust monitor brightness and choose display style.
Date imprint
Imprint shooting date and time or date counter on pictures.
Vibration reduction
Choose whether or not vibration reduction is enabled.
AF assist
Enable or disable AF-assist illumination.
Digital zoom
Adjust settings for using digital zoom.
Sound settings
Adjust sound and volume settings.
Record orientation
Choose whether or not to record the orientation of a picture taken.
Auto off
Set time before camera enters standby mode.
Format memory/Format card
Format internal memory or memory card.
Language
Choose the language used for camera monitor display.
TV settings
Adjust settings necessary for connection to television.
Blink warning
Set whether or not to detect human subjects with eyes closed when
shooting with the face priority (~ 126).
Reset all
Restore camera settings to default values.
Firmware version
Display camera firmware version.
