CALLING UP STORED STATIONS
e Select tuning range with selector button 'AM' or 'FM'.
¢ It is possible to change from this pre-selected tuning to manual or automatic tuning without further
action.
e A pre-selected station can only be removed from memory by programming another in place of it.
NOTE: The memory back-up circuit maintained by a large capacitor will prevent 2 weeks the programmed
information (30 preset stations).
Is radio reception not optimum?
e Check the tuning.
® Check the connection of the FM auxiliary antenna.
e Adjust the position of the FM auxiliary antenna or the AM loop antenna.
The tuner locates few stations
e The antenna signals received are too weak.
e Check the antenna connections.
e Adjust the position of the AM Loop or the FM indoor antenna. If this does not give satisfactory results,
consider connection to external antennas or cable network.
e If these are already fitted, check their connection to the tuner.
Operating Instructions of Amplifier Section
1. Set the volume control @) to extreme counterclockwise or volume off position.
2. Turn the POWER
on so that display panel @ is illuminated.
If no indicators light up.
— The set is not switched on.
— The apparatus has not been connected to the power line.
— Then electrical output may be without power.
3. Switch on a desired external sound source connected to the input jacks of the rear panel. The external
source may be a CD player, Turntable, Cassette Deck, Video.
4. Select the desired sound source with buttons @ or @.
5. Operate the sound source selected for playback.
6. Slowly rotate volume control @) clockwise until you reach the desired sound level.
If you hear nothing
— Are you sure the speakers have not been switched off?
— Have you pressed the selection button for the sound source concerned? Does the corresponding
display indicator light up?
Are you sure this sound source function properly?
Is the volume control 'open' enough? Do not leave it in extreme clockwise position.
Have the speakers been connected properly? Have the plugs been inserted deep enough into the
jacks? When checking this, turn off the power of the unit.
If playing PHONO, TUNER, CD, VIDEO, make sure that the TAPE MONITOR button hasn't been
pressed. The TAPE MONITOR function button will override all other functions.
