battery pack. Carrying the power tool with your finger
on the on / off switch or inserting the battery pack into
power tools that have the switch in accidents�
• Do not open the battery. Danger of circuit�
• In case of damage and improper use of the bat-
tery, vapors may be emitted. Provide for fresh air
and seek medical help in case of complaints. The
vapors can irritate the respiratory system�
• When the battery is defective, liquid can escape
and come into contact with adjacent components�
Check any parts concerned. Clean such parts or re-
place them, if required�
• Protect the battery against heat, e.g., also
against continuous sun irradiation and fire. There
is danger of explosion�
WARNING! Read all safety warnings and
all instructions.
• Protect the battery charger from rain and mois-
ture. The penetration of water in a battery charger in-
creases the risk of electric shock.
• Do not charge other batteries. The battery charger
is suitable only for charging lithium ion batteries within
the listed voltage range. Otherwise there is danger of
fire and explosion.
• Keep the battery charger clean. Contamination
may cause the danger of electric shock.
• Check the battery charger, cable and plug each
time before using. Do not use the battery charger
when defects are detected. Do not open the battery
charger yourself and have it repaired only by quali-
fied personnel using original spare parts. Damaged
battery chargers, cables and plugs increase the risk of
electric shock.
• Do not operate the battery charger on easily in-
flammable surfaces (e.g. , paper , textiles , etc.)
or in combustible environments. There is danger
of fire due to the heating of the battery charger during
charging�
Service
• Have your power tool serviced by a qualified
repair person using only identical replacement
parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool
is maintained�
• Follow instruction for lubricating and changing ac-
cessories�
Safety guidelines during power tool op-
eration
Before commencing operation
• The power tool shall be operated only by a person
properly acquainted with the use and maintenance and
able to demonstrate the ability to operate it properly�
• Using the power tool by children or teenagers is ex-
pressly prohibited�
• Don't work in bad weather as thick fog, strong wind,
heavy rain and snow represent additional hazards
(because of a possibility of falling on slippery ground,
etc�)�
• Inspect thoroughly the plot to be worked on. Re-
move any stones, sticks, wire as well as other foreign
bodies: they can be thrown away by the air flow and
can injure the operator or bystanders�
• During operation no bystanders or animals are al-
lowed within 15 m� Switch off the power tool when any
bystanders or animals approach�
• Prior to switching on the power tool move the hands
and legs away from the blades as well make sure that
the blades are not in contact with any object�
• Before starting work, make sure that there are no
foreign objects in the bush (wire fences, wires, ropes,
etc�)�
• Regularly inspect the blades of the power tool for
deformations, cracks, chips, etc. It is forbidden to oper-
ate the power tool with damaged blades�
• The blades of the power tool are very sharp, do not
touch the cutting edges to avoid being cut�
• Remove the blade protective cover just before turn-
ing on the power tool�
• It is forbidden to work during precipitation and to
leave the power tool under falling snow and rain�
The operator or the power tool's owner
shall be liable for the possible accidents
or damage that may be caused to a third
persons or their property.
During operation
• Always use means of individual protection: glasses
or face shield, ear protectors, dense texture clothes,
rugged footwear with non-slip soles. Never work in
shorts or open footwear�
• Move at a foot's pace while working.
• This power tool is intended for pruning branches and
tree shoots. It is strictly forbidden to use it for other pur-
poses (wire cutting, cutting of polymer materials, etc�)�
It may cause damages of the power tool which are not
subject to warranty repair�
• When working, pay attention to the objects to be cut.
Sometimes there may be live wires passing through
tree branches resulting in a risk of electric shock in
case of live line damage�
• Special care must be taken when working near wire
fences and strained wires. If the wire is caught with
the blades of the power tool, it may break and cause
injuries to the operator and damage the blades�
• Take special care when working near fences, build-
ing walls, etc�
• Never use the power tool for trimming branches, the
diameter of which is larger than specified in the techni-
cal data table�
• Do not operate the power tool above shoulder level,
when standing on a ladder, or when sitting in a tree�
• It is not recommended to use a power tool for trim-
ming too dense shrubs�
• Never use the tool for trimming branches, tree knots
or for mowing the grass�
• If during operation of the power tool the blades has
run against any object (for example, a stone or stub),
has been jammed by a foreign object (for example,
a twig) or something has been wound on it (for ex-
ample, a rope or wire), switch off the power tool im-
mediately� Remove the defect and carefully inspect
parts of the power tools - it is expressly prohibited to
continue with the work if the power tool's parts are
damaged�
• If the power tool blades are damaged during its op-
eration, do not try to repair them (to bend, weld, etc�)
the damaged blades should be replaced�
