Frost is removed by air moving and collecting any moisture and depositing it on the cooling coil. The cooling coil periodically warms up enough to melt the frost, and the water then flows down to the drain pan (located behind the base grill) where it is evaporated.

SPR7-OS models, and SCR600LOS series and SPR601OS series are intended for free-standing use, and if put under a counter, provisions for adequate air flow must be provided (minimum 1 inch on sides and top and 2 inches at the rear).
