Tips
The radio or media playback is muted duri ng a
phone call.
During a phone call
Applies to: vehicles with tele phone
Req uirement: the re must be a call in prog ress.
• Press t he right contro l button .
The following opt ions are possib le dur ing a call
depend ing on t he cell phone being use d and t he
type of connection:
- Making an additional call :
se lect :
Find contact
>
Call list / Directory / Favorites
> Entry in list .
- Accepting an incoming call when there is an
active call and a call on hold :
select
Replace.
The act ive call is replaced with th e incoming
call.
Additiona l functions include:
Mute :
if you se lect and confirm th is function, the
other person on the phone cannot hear you. You
can hea r the ot her person .
Hold call / Resume:
you can place the exist ing call
on hold and resume it again. To resume the call,
se lect and confirm the call you would like to re-
sume.
Transfer call to cell phone*:
se lect and confirm
Transfer call to cell phone
to t ransfer the exist-
ing call from the MMI to your cell phone.
Switch to hands-free mode* :
select and confirm
Switch to hands-free mode
to transfer the call
from your cell phone back to t he MMI.
Toggle call :
alte rnate between two phone calls
while one of t he calls is on hold. Selecting
End
call
will end the act ive phone call. A phone call on
hold can be resumed thro ugh the right contro l
button >
Resume .
Add to conference :
a party on hold and up to five
active parties (depending on the netwo rk) can be
added to a conference call. To make an add itiona l
call, put all participants in the current conference
call on hold using t he right control button >
Hold
conference .
Press the left contro l butt on. Select
Telephone
and confirm
Call list / Directory / Favorites
> Entry
in list. You can add called contacts to the confer-
ence using the right control button >
Add to con-
ference . Resume
takes all part ies off hold.
3-way conferencing :

Tips
- To be not ified of an incoming call dur ing a
phon e call, th e Call wait ing fu nct ion in your
cell phone must be switched on whe n using
t he hands -free profile
(Handsfree ) .
- You can obta in more information from your
cell phone service provider or from your cell
phone user gu ide.
- The display of an incoming phone call in t he
Infota inment display may st ill be visible for
a few seconds depen ding on the cell phone
in use . Using t he
Replace or Ignore
func-
tions may then end the act ive phone call.
Favorites
Applies to : vehicles with telep ho ne
Up to SO contacts , in addi tion to the voicemail
number , can be stored in any order in the favor-
ites list.
