1 Introduction The i-bin hygiene is a safe, user-friendly machine. This manual helps you to get started and explains the operation and maintenance procedure. You will be pleasantly surprised by the fast and effective use of the battery operated i-bin hygiene This manual is intended for those use the i-bin hygiene and/or perform daily maintenance. -

2 Description The compact i-bin hygiene consists of three main parts: • The upper part that contains the foil lid, the working status light and the Indicator light. • The stand that contains the IR-sensors, the Reset button, the Main switch, the Locking mechanism and the Detachable base. -

3.2 Risks during operation The i-bin hygiene is designed to close and seal bio friendly storage bags. The sealed bags will drop and collect in a container at the bottom part of the machine. CAUTION The sealing mechanism of the i-bin hygiene can get very hot. -

4 Transport and storage 4.1 General CAUTION Always store the i-bin hygiene in a dry environment. -

5 Assembly and installation The i-bin hygiene does not require much assembly. 5.1 Unboxing The i-bin hygiene is packed in a single box. Ensure that no items are missing and compare contents with the list in Figure 4. lf one of the items listed is missing, contact your i-bin hygiene dealer. -

Close the battery compartment and lock with the key. Click the bin back into the stand. The magnet, fitted in the middle of the stand, will hold the bin in place. 5.4 In case of wall mount with stickers In case drilling in the wall is not possible, the i-bin hygiene can also be attached to the wall using the provided 3M stickers. ATTENTION Prior to fixing the i-bin to the wall, mark with a thin pencil and a spirit level a vertical line on the wall. -

6 Operation Check if the i-bin hygiene is assembled and installed properly, see paragraph 5.2 and 5.3 or 5.4. 6.1 Install the cassette Switch off the machine and remove the bin as described in paragraph 5.2.2. Figure 17 Lift the top foil lid and remove the empty cassette (if present). - Page 21 Two sets of splined wheels are fitted diagonally on either side of the opening. Place the foil between the wheels and press down with the provided Foil loading tool. Figure 20 Switch on the i-bin. The two wheels will automatically pull down the foil. The cassette is now installed.

Page 22: When To Empty The Bin
The backside of the foil loading tool includes a small knob. Press this knob into the small hole in the left side of the stand. Hold it for about 3 s. After 3 s the red indication light will switch off and a small beep can be heard. -
Page 23: Install The Drawstring Bag
CAUTION Always empty the bin when it is removed from the machine. As soon as the bin is removed, the ‘bags-counter’ will be reset to zero. Refraining from emptying the bin will lead to miscounting. This can lead to overfilling of the bin. -

Push the bag down inside the container. Figure 27 6.4 (Re)placing an i-scent cup To (re)place a new i-scent cup: Use a pointed object and remove the cupholder. Remove the old i-scent cup from the cupholder (if applicable). Pull off the plastic foil from the new i-scent cup. -

7 Maintenance CAUTION Remove the battery before executing any cleaning or maintenance task. 7.1 Cleaning To clean the i-bin hygiene , wipe the plastic bin with a damp cloth. CAUTION Don’t use chemicals for cleaning the i-bin hygiene 7.2 Replacing the cassette For replacing the cassette follow the steps as described in paragraph 6.1. -
