All of us from Orbit
timer. You have made a smart decision and we are sure that you are going
to love this product! Your timer has two unique ways to be set:

USING THE DAYBREAK SIDE

Choose to water Every Day or Every 2 Days in 5, 15, 30, or 60 minute
increments. Once this side is selected the timer will automatically turn
on at sunrise. This will help you water during the most optimal time of
day to water.
HELPFUL HINT: Watering at sunrise helps avoid creating an
environment susceptible to fungus and bacteria and reduces water
waste as a result from evaporation.

USING THE SET TIME SIDE

Choose to water Every Day or Every 2 Days in 5, 15, 30, or 60 minute
increments. The timer will note the exact time at which you set it and will
water at this same time until you change the timer settings by turning the
dial. Choose this side to select your preferred watering time.
EXAMPLE: If you set your timer at 7:08 am to water every day,
then your water will turn on at 7:08 am each morning
going forward.

USING ON/OFF

Using ON or OFF will reset the timer and you will need to rotate
the dial back to DAYBREAK or SET TIME to start automatic watering
again. DAYBREAK will water as normal. SET TIME will water at the
new set time.
Choose ON to manually water at the faucet. Choose OFF to stop using
the timer.

Does the solar need time to work or will it work regardless?

The Orbit Daybreak solar product operates based on a photocell that uses sunlight to start the watering cycle. Once set, it continues to water at the same time each day or at sunrise. This means it may not activate immediately upon setup, especially if set to start at sunrise, as it depends on detecting light to begin. Therefore, it may need time (until the next sunrise or set time) to start working.

I set (I thought) my timer to water 15 minutes each daybreak. It doesn’t stop when the 15 minutes are up.! I’ve reset several times with the same result. What is wrong?

If the Orbit Daybreak timer is not stopping after 15 minutes, possible causes include:

1. The timer may not be set correctly. Double-check that the dial is set to the 15-minute option.
2. The dial may not be fully turned to the selected time, causing incorrect operation.
3. There may be a mechanical or electronic malfunction preventing the valve from closing.
4. The timer may need new batteries, as low power can affect proper function.
5. Debris or buildup in the valve could prevent it from shutting off.

Inspect settings, battery level, and the valve for issues.
