Having Fun with Various Types of Performances
(About the position of sounds according to their source )
When
playing the keyboard, or during Auto-Play,
the melody, countermelody, chord, bass,
arpeggio and rhythm sounds all come from different positions in the stereo field. These posi-
tions are determined according to the sound source.
When the mode selector is set to STEREO
and the balance control is at the center position,
the positions of each sound source are as follows:

.If
single
notes
are
played
when
the
channel
is set to POLY, the position of
the sound shifts constantly in the order
left, @ right, @) toward the left, @ left, @
right, @

the left, ®
....
and
so on.
. If chords are played with the channel set
to POLY,
the component
notes of the
chords
are
all heard
from
a different
position,
depending
on
the number
of
notes to the chord. The positions are ()
and @) with two notes chords, ®, @ and
@® with three note chords, and @, @, @
and @) with four note chords.
. When
the keyboard
is played with the
channel set to MONO,
the position of the
sound is toward the right.
. lf the
unison
effect
is turned
on,
the
sound is spread out over the whole stereo
field
from
left to
right.
(The
POLY
channel also becomes monophonic
when
UNISON is turned on.)
