DuoGB800™
User's Manual
Revised July 2, 2007
Thank you for purchasing the DuoGB800 dual hard disk drive
enclosure. When purchased with drives already installed, the
DuoGB800 is plug & play. Simply plug in the AC cord then plug in one
of the enclosed cables to your host computer and you are ready to go.
Your order should have specified how the drives are formatted. If not,
simply format each drive according to the process provided by your
operating system. Complete instructions are available through the
HELP menu of your operating system. As long as you have the latest
updates for your OS, no drivers are required to use the DuoGB800.
For full capacity with two drives, you will need to use FireWire. To get
full benefit of FireWire 800 you will need Windows XP or Mac OS X.

Hard Drive Installation

Turn the DuoGB800 over and rest the top on a soft, non-abrasive surface. Remove the four
screws that hold the feet and bottom of the case. Set aside in a safe place for re-assembly. Slide
the case towards the back and off of the DuoGB800.
Extend the ribbon cable and Power Connectors out from inside of the case. Set the first hard
drive jumpers to Master. (Check the manufacturers instructions, as some hard drives have more
than one setting that may be used.) Attach the inner most power connector to the first hard drive.
Then plug the Gray IDE connector into the drive.
