LEDs on the front of the DriveStation indicate the space remaining on the drive.

Compatible Drive Formats

Correct operation of the LED Capacity Meter is supported with any of the following partition types:
● NTFS (MBR, GPT)
Note: For the capacity LEDs to work with an NTFS partition, install the optional capacity meter software.
● FAT32 (MBR, GPT)
● exFAT (MBR, GPT)
● Mac OS Extended format (MBR, GPT, Apple partition)

Multiple Partitions

The capacity LEDs show the remaining capacity for all partitions on the drive. If the drive has multiple
partitions, the capacity LEDs will show the total capacity available for all partitions combined, with the
following exceptions:
• Only supported partitions are calculated. Space remaining on partitions made with an unsupported
type of format will not be calculated or displayed.
• Unless the optional capacity meter software (Windows only) is installed, only the first 10 partitions
are included in the calculation of remaining space. Space on partitions after the first 10 will not be
displayed by the LED capacity meter.
