The photograph below shows a close-up of the ports and
port indicators. From the left:
Hardware Guide
Serial port (Console)
DB9 connector for the serial port. Reserved for
future use.
Power
A yellow LED (light-emitting diode) shows that
the power is on.
Storage
A green LED indicates that the device is writing to
or reading from the compact flash card of the
hard drive disk (if installed).
Status
The status LED changes colors to indicate the
current device mode: red for Safe Mode and
green for default mode.
Expansion
A green LED shows an upgrade module is
installed in the expansion slot in the rear of the
unit (described in "Rear view" on page 6). This is
always off unless an upgrade is installed.
Port LEDs
The sets of LEDs are labeled 0, 1, 2, and 3. They
correspond to the interface ports to their right.
The LEDs show the link and connection speed of
the interface.
- When the interface operates at 10 Mbit, the top
LED is green.
