I. SIGNAL SYSTEM ADJUSTMENT
1. SUB CON ADJUSTMENT
*This adjustment ought to have completed before HUE adjust-
ment of NTSC 358/443 and PAL.
1. Input a vertical white line signal.
Note : Use a vertical white line signal
(525 no burst, H width 3S, 1O001RE).
2. Set:
Connect the oscilloscope probe to A board CN40] Pin 3.
Put the unit into service mode.
Adjust SUB BRT .
Adjust the pedestal or the distance between the sync tip and
white with|SUB CON
(4: 3 NOR)}.

2. SUB PHASE Adjustment
Put the unit into Ext Sync mode.

3. SUB CHROMA Adjustment
1. Input a component color bar (R-Y, Y, B-Y). (Beta 0 level
signal).
From the menu, make the Component Level Beta 0.
Connect the oscilloscope probe to 1C404 Pin 30 or TP402.
Put the unit into service mode.
Using|SUB CHROMA NORMAL }, adjust so that the tops of
the waveform line up as in the diagram below.

Adjust so that the levels of the first peak and the fourth
peak are the same.

4, R-Y LEVEL ADJUSTMENT
1. Input a component color bar (R-Y, Y, B-Y). (Beta 0 level
signal).
From the menu, make the Component Level Beta 0.
Connect the oscilloscope probe to 1C404 Pin 41 or TP401.
Put the unit into service mode.
Using [R-Y LEVEL COMPONENT],
adjust so that the tops
of the waveform line up as in the diagram below. (Fig. 10)
