Electronic shutter setting

Shutter modes
The selectable electronic shutter modes and speeds are as follows.
Mode

Note
Camera sensitivity declines as shutter speed increases.
An auto iris lens stop opens at increased shutter speed, while the depth of focus is decreases.
Shutter mode and speed settings
1. Shift the Shutter switch from ON to SEL to change the shutter speed. The viewfinder screen
indicates speed change and new shutter speed.
Example: 1/100
2. The mode and speed change sequence is indicated below.
Shutter speeds
1/100(59.94i), 1/60(50i),
1/250, 1/500,1/1000,1/2000 second
1/59.94 to 1/1983 second (59.94i)
1/50.00 to 1/2008 second (50i)
1/59.94 second(59.94i)
1/50.00 second(50i)
Controlled by CPU.
1/100 (59.94i) → 1/250 → 1/500 → 1/1000 → 1/2000

Set to make fast-moving objects clear.
Set to reduce horizontal scroll bars of an
image when shooting a computer screen.
Set to increase vertical resolution.
Set to obtain an always fixed video level
when the light is greater than the close
limit.
