Chapter 3 - Getting Started

3.1 - Turning your LCD TV On and Off

1. Connect Power Cables
Connect the power cord to the LCD TV, and then to a
properly grounded AC outlet.
2. Turn Power On
Press the Power ON button on the front of the LCD
TV, or press the Power ON (Red) button on the
remote control.
3. Select Input Source
Select the input source for the LCD TV by pressing
the INPUT button on the front of the TV or using the Input button on the remote control.
4. If connecting to antenna, cable or other RF source for the TV Inputs, see page 30 to
configure and allow the LCD TV to receive all available channels.
5. If connecting to a PC (RGB/DVI), set LCD TV timing mode to VESA 1280x768 at 60Hz for
best picture quality (refer to the graphic card's user guide for questions on how to set this
timing mode).

3.2 - Preparing the LCD for Wall Mounting

The VIZIO L30e can either be kept on the base stand or mounted to the wall for viewing. If you
would like affix your television to the wall, a mount can be purchased through
at a local consumer electronic retailer. If you choose to mount the L30e to the wall, then please
follow the instructions below for removing the base stand.
To remove the stand base:
1. Unplug all the cables and cords from the LCD TV.
2. Place the LCD TV face down on a soft and flat
surface (blanket, foam, cloth, etc) to prevent any
damage to the display.
3. Remove the 4 screws on the stand base of the LCD
TV.
4. The stand can now be removed from the back panel.
The LCD TV will now fit flush against a LCD TV wall mount. Please make sure to read the
directions of your specific wall mount to properly hang the L30e.
