Warning! Switch the product off and pull the mains

plug before any maintenance or cleaning. The same
applies when the mains cable is damaged, cut or en-
tangled.
Always wear protective gloves when using, adjusting
u
or cleaning the garden product.
Regularly check for obvious defects such as loose, dislodged
or damaged blades, loose fixings, and worn or damaged
components.
Check that covers and guards are undamaged and correctly
fitted. Carry out necessary maintenance or repairs before
using.

Corrective Measure
Do not push the On/Off switch while it is being ro-
tated.
Fit securing knob for chute assembly correctly
Turn power on
Use another socket
Inspect cable, replace if damaged
Replace/restart
Follow "Overload Protection" procedure
Follow "Overload Protection" procedure
Allow machine to cool, then follow "Overload Pro-
tection" procedure
Restart. Check that the extension cable meets the
requirements in the instructions (insufficient
quality of the extension cable can be the cause of
the fault!). When operating via a generator, check
its performance.
Inspect cable, replace if damaged
Contact your Bosch Service Centre
Follow "Overload Protection" procedure
Allow machine to cool, then follow "Overload Pro-
tection" procedure
Rotate blade to the unused side. If both sides are
blunt, replace blade.
Remove and clean the blade. Rotate blade if ne-
cessary.
Clean machine and empty collection bag
Clear obstruction
Tighten blade nut/bolt
Tighten blade nut/bolt
Replace blade
Contact your Bosch Service Centre
If the garden product should happen to fail despite the care
taken in manufacture and testing, repair should be carried
out by an authorised customer service agent for Bosch
garden products.
Blade Maintenance (see figure I)
The blade (10) has a double-sided cutting edge.
When the cutting edges of the blade (10) become blunt, the
blade (10) can be turned over.
The blade bolt can be reused.
Make sure that the bolt is tightened very firmly after repla-
cing the blade (10). When both sides of the blade (10) are
blunt, replace the blade (10). A new blade (10) is available
as a spare part. Use the new blade bolt supplied with it.
