Erasing Images
To erase one image or one video clip , use the
camera. To erase all images or video clips at once, use the delete option in Playback menu.
To erase one image or video clip at a time
1. Rotate the mode dial to [
automatic photography mode, or [
photography mode.
If you selected [

mode, the last image or movie that you captured will
be erased.
2. Press the
erase button.
3. Select [

The message "ERASE?" is displayed on the screen.
4. Select [YES] using the
OK button.
If you want to cancel the deletion, select [NO] and
press the OK button.
5. To continue erasing images, repeat steps above.
Image numbering. If you take more images after erasing an image(s), your new images will
be assigned image numbers starting after the highest previously assigned number. (i.e. if
you have taken images 1,2,3,4,5,6 and you deleted images 2 and 6 - the next image you
capture will be assigned 7. Even if an image is erased isnumber is retired and not reused.)
Images can also be erased while in the thumbnail display. After the image is erased, the
screen returns to the thumbnail display.
To erase all images and video clips at once
1. Rotate the mode dial to [
a u t o m a t i c p h o t o g r a p h y m o d e , [
photography mode or [

erase button.
3. Select [

4. Select [YES] using the
OK button.
The message "ERASE?" is displayed.
5. Select [YES] using the
OK button.
Except for those images and videos that were
previously protected, all images currently on the SD
card will be earsed. After erasure, the camera
returns to the selected operating mode.
To exit the erase screen, select [NO], and press the
OK button.
