Auto Recording Mode Menu

Auto Recording menu contains Image size, image
quality, voice memo, date imprint, digital zoom,
instant playback options.

Image Size

This camera has four image size settings :
2048x1536, 1600x1200, 1280x960, 640x480.
Changing image size affects the number
of pixel in each image. The greater the image
size, the larger the file size. Image size must
be set before the picture is taken. Changes
made to image size are displayed on the data
panel and LCD monitor.

Quality

This camera has four image quality settings : super fine, fine, standard, and economy. Always
select the desired setting before taking the picture. Image quality controls the rate of compression,
but has no effect on the number of pixels in the image. The higher the image quality, the lower the
rate of compression and the larger the file sizes.

Depending on image size, when capturing super-fine images, a delay of up to 50 seconds
can occur as the image is saved to the CompactFlash card. The LCD monitor will be blank
and the card access LED will glow during saving period.

Voice Memo

Voice memo allows a five or fifteen second audio track to be recorded with a still image. The
function is activated and the length of the recording time is set on auto recording mode menu. In
manual recording mode, voice memo is controlled in the custom 2 section of the manual recording
