5. Hold the carrying handle securely and pull the starter grip lightly
until you feel resistance, then pull briskly in the direction of the
arrow as shown below.
CAUTION:
Do not allow the starter grip to snap back against the engine. Return
it gently to prevent damage to the starter.
NOTE:
Always pull the starter grip briskly. If not pulled briskly, sparks may fail
to jump across the spark plug electrodes, resulting in failure to start
the engine.
