Here you can change the settings for the built-in decoder.
These changes
will have no effect if you connect the unit to other
equipment through the digital audio output terminal (make the neces-
sary changes on the other equipment).

Press [ACTION]
in the stop mode.
The initial settings screen is displayed.

Press the cursor buttons [&, _'] to se-
lect

Press the cursor buttons [&, V] to se-
lect the item and press [ENTER].

Multi-channel
If you have connected
3 or more speakers. (Proceed to
step 4)

2-channel (Factory preset)
If you have connected
2 speakers or an amplifier
with
Dolby Pro Logic decoder. (You will return to the menu
shown in step 1. Settings are not necessary,)
Change
settings
to suit your speakers
and the listening
position
(- page39).
• Setting the size and presence of your speakers
Choose "Yes" for speakers you have connected. Sound will
not be output if you choose =No".
• Delay time
Allows you to make up for differences in distance if you
cannot place your speakers in the optimum position,

Allows you to adjust the output level of the speakers to make
up for differences in volume caused by different
types of
speaker or distance,
