M.2 Drive
Supports up to two SATA M.2 drives of the following drive form factors:
• 42 mm (2242)
• 60 mm (2260)
• 80 mm (2280)
• 110 mm (22110)
Supports the following M.2 drive capacity:
• 240 GB
• 480 GB
• 960 GB (supported only when the ambient temperature is below 30°C)
Notes:
• When an M.2 adapter is installed, with software RAID, the system supports one of the following storage
configuration:
– Up to four 3.5-inch simple-swap SATA drives
– Up to four 3.5-inch hot-swap SATA drives
• When an M.2 adapter is installed, 2.5-inch hot-swap SATA drives and optical/tape drives are not supported.

Available drive bays might vary by model.
• Storage drive bays:
– 3.5-inch simple-swap drive configurations
– Eight 3.5-inch drives
• Bay 0 to 5 support SATA drives
• Bay 6 to 7 supports one of the following:
– SATA drive
– NVMe drive
– Six 3.5-inch SATA drives
• Bay 0 to 5 support SATA drives
• Optical-drive bay 0 (lower bay) supports one of the following:
– Optical drive
– Tape drive (RDX or LTO)
• Optical-drive bay 1 (upper bay) supports one optional optical drive
– 2.5/3.5-inch hot-swap drive configurations
– Eight 3.5-inch SAS/SATA drives (Bay 0 to 3 and Bay 4 to 7)
– Sixteen 2.5-inch SAS/SATA drives (Bay 0 to 7 and Bay 8 to 15)
– Four 3.5-inch (Bay 0 to 3) and eight 2.5-inch SAS/SATA drives (Bay 4 to 11)
– Optical/tape drive bays
• Optical-drive bay 0 (lower bay) supports one of the following:
– Optical drive
