4-4. Focus Adjustment
1.
Receive the
625
monoscope signal.
2. Adjust the H. FOCUS (FOCUS I of FBT) until the vertical
lines have the optimum (just) focus.
3. Adjust the V. FOCUS (FOCUS 2 of FBT) until the horizontal
lineshavetheoptimum(just)focus.
4.
Repeat
adjustment of steps 2 and 3
to
obtain tracking of them
until the entire screen has the optimum focus as an average.

L Receive the PAL dot signal
Set the CONTRAST to good viewing setting.
Set the BRIGHTNESS lo MIN.
2. Align the markings on the 6-pole magnels of the CRT neck
assembly.
3. Perform the rough convergence adjustment in the horizontal
direction using
the H. STA
(C board).

Perfonn the manual degauss.
6. Receive the PAL cross-hatch signal.
7. Adjust the H. STA and the V. STA to show the three parallel
linesofR.G.Bintentionally.

8. Adjust the 6-pole magnets on the neck assembly so that the
distance between R-0 and between B-G becomes equal in both
horizontalandverticaldirections.

convergence correction by adjusting the
two
levers: angle

A and B, and tiltQ2. (When
QI==
0,amount of correction =0.)
9.
Adjust
the
H. STA and V. STA until the convergence error at
thecenterofdisplaybecomeszero.
10.AdjustTLV.
