these operating instructions,

prevention of accidents.
This giraffemobile is state of the art and has been constructed
in accordance with the acknowledged safety regulations.
Nevertheless, when in use, the power tool may be a danger to
life and limb of the user or a third party, or the power tool or
other property may be damaged. The giraffemobile is only to be
used
as intended,
in perfect working order.
Faults which impair safety must be repaired immediately.
Intended use
This giraffemobile GM 270 is designed
for commercial use in industry and trade,
as a tripod for FLEX long-necked sanders which are
designed for sanding walls and ceilings,
to be used particularly for sanding high ceilings,
to be used exclusively with long-necked sanders which are
specified in these instructions.

Safety instructions

Pull the plug out of the socket and/or remove the bat-
tery before making any adjustments to the device or
changing accessories. Some accidents are caused by
electric power tools starting unintentionally.
Before mounting the electric power tool, assemble the
supporting device correctly. Correct assembly is import-
ant to prevent the risk of collapse.
Before using the electric power tool, attach it securely
to the supporting device. There may be a loss of control if
the electric power tool slips on the supporting device.
Place the supporting device on a solid, flat and level
surface. If the supporting device can slip or wobble, the
electric power tool cannot be guided evenly or safely.
Do not overload the supporting device or use it as a
ladder or trestle. Overloading or standing on the suppor-
ting device may cause the centre of gravity of the suppor-
ting device to shift upwards and overturn it.
