5. Mounting using suction cups
The antenna can be temporarily mounted vertically to windows or other smooth, level, non-conductive panels using the suction cups fitted to the housing hole positions.
When mounting the antenna vertically note the requirements for GPS reception from Section 2. The suction cups can also be used to mount the antenna horizontally to
any smooth, level non conductive panel but note that versions with GPS/GNSS require a clear view of the sky.
Fit the suction cups to the hole positions using the supplied nuts. Clean the surface to which the antennna will be mounted and the suction cups. Proceed to mount the
antenna by pressing it firmly onto the desired surface until a firm grip is achieved. When the antenna is mounted with the suction cups facing the front, beveled face of
the antenna then the nuts retaining the suction cups should only be tightened until they are flush with the screw thread on the suction cup.
To dismount the antenna hold the antenna firmly and unscrew the antenna from the suction cup. The suction cup can then be removed from the mounting surface with
ease.
Caution: Do not pull on the cables to dismount the antenna. Cables should be secured close to the antenna to reduce load on the suction cups.
