BEYOND ¡e BASICS
Chord Hold
Once you play a note (or chord), you can release the keyts) (as you've probably already discovered). As
long as the Chord Hold function is on (the Chord Hold indicator is lit) any note (or chord) you play will be
held (sustained) until you play the next one. This allows you to concentrate on the solo part.
More advanced players may want to turn Chord Hold off so that they can have greater control of the
instrument.
Melody Intelligence
The Melody Intelligence function exists for one reason, and one reason alone — to enhance your solo!
When this function is on (the [Melody Intelligence] indicator is lit) the ep automatically creates a harmony
part for your melody line (in accord with the chord you play in the chord recognition area). This adds
'depth' lo your performance and really makes you sound good!
* Melody Intelligence works when the [Split] button is set to Arranger or Lower.
Arranger Volume
If you find that the Arranger is too loud (for example) and you have trouble hearing your solo part, there is
a simple way to adjust the volume level.
1.
Locate the Arranger buttons (on the left side of the panel):
Y Arranger
A
-On/Ott-
2.
To lower the volume of the Arranger, press and hold the [V] button.
The volume of the Arranger will fall and the numbers in the display will decrease as well. The volume
range of the Arranger is 0—100.
3.
Toraise the Arranger volume, press and hold [A].
4.
To turn the Arranger off completely, press both Arranger buttons simultaneously.
Press them both again to turn the Arranger back on.
