6.1.3. LCD Panel test mode
• Purpose:
To find the possible failure point where in LCD Panel or Printed Circuit Board when the abnormal picture is displayed.
• How to Enter and Exit: There are two procedures as following A and B.
Procedure A:
How to Enter: Remove the AV Cover Top Assy, in order to operate the button of the main unit. (Refer to step1 in "7.5.
Rear Plate Removal" for the method of removing AV Cover Top Assy.)
While pressing [VOLUME ( - )] button of the main unit, press [R] button of the remote control three times within 2 sec-
onds.
How to Exit: Turn off the unit.
Procedure B:
How to Enter: Press [Recall] button of the remote control, then [R] button of the remote control, in turn.
Press finally [N] button of the remote control for over 3 seconds.
How to Exit: The unit automatically turns off after around 10 seconds.
• How to confirm:
Go into LCD Panel test mode by above procedure and then, judge by the following method.
A: Ttest patterns are displayed normally.
Judgment: --- The cause must be in A board.
B: Test pattern is displayed abnormally / Test pattern is not displayed and Power LED lights red and orange alternately.
Judgment: --- The cause must be in LCD Panel or A board.
C: Test pattern is not displayed and Power LED lit green.
Judgment: --- The cause must be in A board.
• Remarks:
The test pattern is created by the circuit in LCD Panel.
In LCD Panel test mode, the test patterns are displayed unaffected by signal processing for RF or input signal.
If the test patterns are displayed, LCD Panel must be okay and the cause of failure must be in A board.
6.1.4. How to check when the image does not appear correctly in DIGITAL LINK
• Check whether all of (A), (B), (C), and (D) are "OK" in NW mode.
• Check whether "H67DLK" is "OK" in ID mode.
• Check being connected with the twisted-pair cable that meets the requirements (refer to the Operating Instructions).
6.1.5. How to check when the fan or the air filter is failure
In the case of the state of the following contents, the fan or the air filter is failure.
• "Filter" is displayed on the screen when you turn on the power.
• Power indicator blinks alternately green and orange.
In this case, in FT mode, please perform the state check of the fan and the air filter, and correspond.
