Setting up your device Step 1 Power on your Talk Pad with the power button on the left side of the device.

Step 2 Power on the speaker by pressing and holding the Connect button for 3 seconds. Step 3 Talk Pad can be provided Ready to Go or for Self Setup A short guide is provided to help you with your configuration Remember to take note of your account details!

Power The device power button is found on the top left side of your Talk Pad. To turn on your device on, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds and press and hold the Connect button for 3 seconds.

Putting your Talk Pad to sleep Sleep is a low powered mode where the device is inactive, and the screen is off. Tap the power button to sleep the device. Tap the power button again to wake the device. Power off To turn the device off, press and hold the power button and the volume up button.

Charging When charging your Talk Pad, ensure that the device and the speaker are charged at the same time. The Talk Pad charger has two USB C connections for both ports on the device. Connect the Talk Pad power adapter to a mains socket. Connect the charging cable to the power adapter Connect both USB C connections charging ports 1 and 2 It is best to charge your Talk Pad when not in use.

The Bluetooth settings are found in the Settings app. Select Settings, then Bluetooth to see a list of all connected devices. The speaker is listed as Smartbox AAC - XXXX. Press and hold the Connect Button for 3 seconds to power the speaker off.
Using the stand The stand for your Talk Pad can be used to position it on a desk or table so it can be used comfortably at any angle.

Mounting Your Talk Pad can be mounted to a Rehadapt or Daessy connection (Mounting plate sold separately). The dual mounting plate can be attached with the screws and screwdriver supplied with the mounting kit to the three holes on the back of the speaker.
Attaching the strap To attach the strap to your Talk Pad, raise the stand to reveal the attachment points. Loop the end of the strap through the attachment point, unclip the connector and push it through the loop. Clip the connector again and repeat on the opposite side.

Finding you model and serial number When you contact our Support team, please have your device model and serial number to hand. This helps us identify the device you are having an issue with! You can find both the model number and serial number on the back of your Talk Pad.
Firmware updates From time-to-time Smartbox will issue firmware updates for the speaker. To update the firmware, download the Smartbox Link app from the App Store. hub.thinksmartbox.com/smartbox-link Open the app, if a firmware update is available you will see a button to download and update the speaker.
