5-12. Reference Supply Calibration.
5-13. Use the following procedure to calibrate the thermal converter and reference
supply.
a. Connect the dc standard (740A), the 400E/EL, the null voltmeter (419A),
the reference supply, and a 3 volt thermal converter (11049A) as shown
in Figure 5-1.
NOTE
If a 400E/EL Option 02 instrument is used, set the
REL. REF adjustment to the fully clockwise ABSO-
LUTE position before making accuracy check.
The reference supply and the thermal converter are sensitive to varia-
tions in ambient temperature, Ensure that the ambient temperature
variations are less than +2.0°C.
b. Set the de standard output to +3.000 voits dc.
