    Intended use Intended use The optek-sensors AF16 and their variants are to be applied only as absorption sensors for liquids and gases in inline applications according to the technical data. The use of the sensors in hazardous locations is prohibited. You can purchase flameproof sensors for hazardous locations from optek.

It slightly differs from the measuring result of the merely spectral absorption due to differences in the beam path.
