MAINTENANCE
Always unplug tool before performing any maintenance. All servicing other
than what is recommended in this manual must be done by a MILWAUKEE Ser-
vice Center or Authorized Service Station.
BRUSHES AND COMMUTATOR
To install new carbons, position them in the brush cartridge holder with the
silver ends facing into the holder. Insert the cartridge in the tool so the brushes
are resting on the ramp (See illustration). Push evenly on the top and bottom of-
the cartridge to align the terminals for proper connection. Tighten the brush
holder screw gently. A replacement screw is also provided in the cartridge if the
screw head is damaged by over-tourqueing. NEVER USE A METAL SCREW
AS A BRUSH HOLDER SCREW! The brush holder screw part number is
shown on the cartridge and should be reordered if the spare is used.
