DANGER: Fire hazard. Never pump gasoline or other volatile or flammable
liquids with this unit.
CAUTION: Follow all safety precautions recommended by the manufacturer of
the electric drill*.
CAUTION: Always disconnect drill from power source and remove the pump
from drill before attempting to service or perform maintenance.
WARNING RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK: For corded or battery operated
drill* follow drill manufacturers instructions.
CAUTION: Inspect hoses and/or tubing before each use. Using worn or leaking
hoses can prevent the pump from working properly.
NOTICE: Suction hose/tubing should be as short as possible, kink free, and non-
collapsible. Be certain the suction line is air tight. Any leaks may prevent the pump
from priming.
NOTICE: Do not run the drill pump dry. The drill pump housing must be filled
with liquid during operation. Operating the drill pump dry for as little as 30 seconds
can cause damage and result in premature failure of the drill pump. Running the drill
pump dry will also void the warranty.
NOTICE: The drill pump is lubricated at the factory for the first use. It is
recommended to add a few drops of lubricating oil to the inlet port of the drill pump
before each use to aid with priming and to prevent the impeller from running dry.
Cooking oil or mineral oil are suitable options.
NOTICE: A screen or strainer (not included) should be used when pumping fluids
that contain abrasives or small solids to prevent damage to the pump.
