Getting Started Installing a SIM Card When you subscribe to a mobile network, you are provided with a plug- in SIM card loaded with your subscription details, such as PIN, optional services available and so on. � � � Note : The plug-in SIM card and its contacts can be easily damaged by scratches or bending, so be careful when handling, inserting or removing the card.
Getting Started Reinstall the battery. To do so: ① Place the battery on the back of the phone then slide on the back cover. Before turning the phone on, make sure the battery is properly installed. ② Push the cover up until it clicks into the right place. Charging the Battery Your phone is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery.
Getting Started Charging the Battery with the Travel Adapter You can use the phone while charging the battery attached to the phone. With the battery in position on the phone, plug the connector of the travel adapter into the connector slot at the bottom of the phone.

Call Functions Answering a Call When someone calls you, the phone alerts you by ringing, blinking the color LED and displaying the call alert screen. If you are subscribed to the Caller Line Identification service and the caller can be identified, the caller's phone number or name,(and image if stored in your Phonebook), displays.
Call Functions Quickly Switching to Etiquette Mode To quickly switch your phone to Etiquette Mode, press and hold In Etiquette Mode, all sounds are turned off and the phone alerts you to an incoming call by vibrating instead of ringing. Press and hold the key until the Etiquette Mode icon appears on the top right of the display.
Call Functions Muting the Microphone You can temporarily mute your phone so the other person cannot hear you. Example : You wish to say something to another person in the room but do not want the other person to hear you. Call Functions Sending DTMF Tones Each time you press the keys, your phone sends out DTMF (Dual Tone Multi-Frequency) which are set at the factory. DTMF tones are required to use electronic phone services, such as bank-by-phone or Voice Mail. To mute DTMF tones during a call : During a call, press the soft key.
Call Functions Using the Ear-microphone Using the ear-microphone supplied with your phone, you can answer an incoming call without holding the phone. Connect the ear-microphone to the jack on the side of the phone. To answer a call, press and hold the button on the ear-microphone for more than one second.
Entering Text Changing the Text Input Language This mode allows you to change text input language. To change to another text input language: Press the key to access the eZi Sub Menu screen. Press the key until you find the Entry mode you want from the list.
Entering Text Insert EMS Content This mode enables you to enter EMS contents into your text. Press the soft key and select 'Insert EMS content' to enter into it. You can insert Animation, Image and Sound contents into your text. The following text input modes are available : Fix Animation/Fix Sound : You can send EMS messages with Animation and Sound using this mode.

Entering Text Typing English Words To type a word, press the keys corresponding to the letters you need. Remember the following as you are typing: Press keys on the phone just once per one letter. ●For example, to enter “hello”, press the following keystrokes: 4, 3, 5, 5, 6.
Entering Text ALPHABET Mode When typing in the ABC mode, press the key labeled with a character: - Once for the first character - Twice for the second character and so on. This method is called Multi-tap Typing. For example, quickly press the 2 key three times to display the letter “C”, or quickly press the 5 key twice to display the letter “K”.

Message The Messages option is a network service and may not be supported by your network. You can send a message by a text messaging system, provided that the service is supported by your network. To send messages by your phone, you must obtain the number of the SMS center from your local service provider.
