4. Operate the hand pump (1) on top of the filter base until
air free fuel is ejected from the air bleed screw.
5. Close the air bleed screw (2) and operate the hand
pump (1) several more strokes.
6. Properly dispose of the fuel from the bleeding process.
Clean any fuel residue with an appropriate cleaner and
shop towels.
7. Start the engine and check for leaks around the fuel
water separator filter.
NOTE: The high pressure fuel pump and lines are self bleeding, no other procedure is required to bleed air from the
fuel system. If the engine fails to start or stalls repeat the bleeding procedure again.
