    SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Operating this Sharpener can be dangerous if safety and common sense are ignored. The operator must be familiar with the operation of the tool. Read this manual to understand this Sharpener. DO NOT operate this Sharpener if you do not fully understand the limitations of this tool.
  • Page 3 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION. Any power tool can throw debris into the eyes during operations, which could cause severe and permanent eye damage. Everyday eyeglasses are NOT safety glasses. 11. ALWAYS WEAR HEARING PROTECTION. Plain cotton is not an acceptable protective device.
  • Page 4 KNOW YOUR SHARPENER ADJUSTABLE MULTI-POSITION REAR TOOL REST LOCK KNOBS ADJUSTABLE FRONT TOOL REST REVERSE-OFF-FORWARD CONTROL SWITCH The Sharpener is designed with numerous features to quickly and safely sharpen various items around the house and workshop. A fine grit grinding wheel is used to produce a sharp and precise cutting edge.
  • Page 5 KNOW YOUR SHARPENER Sharpening is an easy operation to perform as long as the following items are followed: CLEAN the item to be sharpened prior to beginning any sharpening operations. ALWAYS use the factory bevel (cutting edge angle) as a guide to sharpening the tool.
  • Page 6 OPERATING THE SHARPENER The Sharpener is designed for sharpening knives, scissors, flat chisels, and more. ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION! Hot sparks may be produced during sharpening operations. The electrical power switch must be in the OFF position. The power cord must be unplugged from the electrical receptacle. Place the Sharpener on flat, firm, and water-resistant surface.
