Listening to tapes
1 Press [DECK 1/2] to select the deck.
PJ Press [COUNTER RESET].
To reset the tape counter while listening to or
recording from CDs or the radio
@ Press [COUNTER DISPLAY].

approximately 5 seconds).
For your reference:
When the tape is travelling in the reverse direction, the value dis-
played on the tape counter will count down. After "O00_" is reached,
the display will switch to "999_" and then continue counting down.
lt is useful—for example—to reset the counter when recording from
the middte of tapes. The number lets you know roughly where you
started from.
Press [44] or [>>] while the tape is in the stop mode.

Each deck's play direction is stored in the system's memory.
@You can fast forward or rewind the tape while you are playing or
recording a tape in another deck. Press [DECK 1/2] to switch to the
non playing deck, and then press [<4] or [PP]. After the above
operation, be sure to press [DECK 1/2] to reselect the deck in which
you are playing a tape.

If the forward side (>) is playing:
bP: The tape will play from the beginning of the next tune.
44: The tape will rewind to the beginning of the present tune.
Then the tune will play again.
If the reverse side (<I) of the tape is playing:
The reverse operation will take place.
TPS searches for silent parts of about 4 secondes normally found
between tunes. As a result, it may not function properly in the fotlow-
ing cases.
