Steering Lock And Ignition Switch
The ignition switch has the following four
positions:
LOCK
This is the normal parking position. Key
from lock can be removed in this position
only.
"LOCK" position prevents normal use of
the steering wheel after the key is re-
moved.
To release the steering lock, put the key in
the slot and turn it clockwise to one click
(ACC).
STARTING AND DRIVING
ACC
Accessories such as the infotainment sys-
tem can be operated, but the engine re-
mains 'OFF'. Steering gets unlocked.
ON
This is the normal operating position. All
electrical systems are 'ON'.
START
Turn the key further clockwise to the
START position, (spring loaded) to start
the engine. As soon as the engine starts,
release the ignition key, which returns to
ON position. While cranking, all acces-
sories will be momentarily 'OFF'.
Illuminated Key Ring (if equipped)
When the vehicle is unlocked, the illumi-
nated key ring glows. This helps to locate
ignition switch in the dark.
