BASIC OPERATIONS
Operations for normal playback (►)
Playback of all tracks of disc, from the first track to the last track of
disc.
1. Carry out "Operation procedures before playback", and
insert a disc.
2. Press play/pause button (►/!■>.
The (►) indicator will light and playback begins.
Shows the elapsed time of current playback and the track
number.

3. Adjust the VOLUME control on the amplifier section.
When the last track of the disc finishes playing, the player enters
stop mode. All operations stop and the player stops at the
position of the first track of the disc and displays "01".
Operation example
• To start playback:
| OPEN/CLOSeI - Set disc - I

• After playback is completed:
I OPEN/CLOSin - Remove disc -► | OPEN/CLOSeI
To stop playback (■)
Press stop button (■).
• When stopped in the normal playback mode, the first track number
is displayed on the indicator: when stopped during programmed
playback, the first track number of the program will be displayed.

Pause operation (II)
1. With the player in the playback mode, press play/pause
button (►/■).
The (II) indicator will light, and the player will pause immediately.
2. To resume playback, press play/pause button (►/■) again.
Operation example

To look for a desired track (K«,
(TRACK SEARCH OPERATIONS)
During normal or programmed playback, or during the pause mode,
these functions allow you to quickly find the beginning of a desired
track.
Also, any number of tracks can be skipped during the search
process.
• When manual/track search (►►* ►►!) button is pressed once,
playback advances to the beginning of the next track. Search fora
track by pressing the same number of times as the desired track
number.
• When manual/track search (k*--*«) button is pressed once,
playback returns to the beginning of the currently playing track.
During search operation, the number of the track'being searched
for will be displayed on the indicator. This allows you to monitor
the progress of the search operation.

NOTE:
Pressing manualf track search (i+* ■ ■++) button while in the first track
for the first step) will have no effect. Also, pressing manuai/track
search f ►*- * ►*-!/ button white in the final track for final step) will have
no effect
Fast forward and reverse (-**,
(MANUAL SEARCH OPERATIONS)
During playback or pause modes, this function allows you to quickly
advance or reverse through the disc to find a desired part. Listen to
the sound from your speakers while performing the search (during
playback mode only). When the switch is released the player returns
to its original mode (playback or pause).
During pause, high-speed search is possible. However, no sound
will be output.
• If the
manual/track

pressed
continuously, the player will advance quickly through the disc. If
the end of the disc is reached, the player will enter the pause mode.
(The indicator will display "End".)
The pause mode can be canceled by pressing manual/track search
(H«. -«).
• If

search
(K* ■ *■)
button
is
pressed
continuously, the player will reverse quickly through the disc. If the
beginning of the disc is reached, the player will enter the playback
mode.
During search operation the elapsed time will be displayed.
Watch this display during search operation.

During programmed playback, you can only do forward and reverse
searches within the song currently being piayed: the player enters
the pause for playback) mode immediately before moving to the next
for previous) track. Play can be restarted by pressing play/pause
button, /►/!!/ or manual/track search f
