DISC OPERATIONS

Displays a screen where you can verify
the details regarding the disc.
• The disc information includes the disc
title, the disc type (DVD-R, DVD-R DL or
DVD-RW), the disc specification (VIDEO
mode or VR mode), and icons that
indicate if the disc is finalized (®) or
protected (

).

The camcorder automatically reduces the
background sound of wind when
recording outdoors.
• The wind screen cannot be turned off
when the mode switch is set to
t'mID.
• Some low-frequency sounds will be
suppressed along with the sound of wind.
When recording in surroundings
unaffected by wind or if you want to
record low-frequency sounds, we
recommend setting the wind screen to
[(!D

The camcorder records the still image
only after the focus has been adjusted.
• Set it to [ . OFF] if you wish to record
a still image as soon as you press
IPHOTOI.
When set to [lm OFF], no
focusing frame appears.
• Focus priority cannot be turned off
when the mode switch is set to
t'mID .
• In the
[II
FIREWORKS] recording
program
(SCN)
the setting is automatically
set to [(!D OFF].
[(!DOFF], [ED 2sec], [9 4sec],
[m 6sec], [m 8sec], [im! 10sec]
Selects the time to display a still image
after it has been recorded on the memory
card.
• You can erase (OJ 67) or protect
(OJ 69) the image if you press
[FUNC.]
while you are reviewing the image (or
immediately after recording it, if set to
[(!D OFF]).
• This menu item will not be available
when
~
(continuous shooting),
~
(high-speed continuous shooting) or
~
(auto exposure bracketing) is
selected.
• The image stabilizer may not be
effective when recording in dark places
using the [p) NIGHT] recording program
(SCN).
• The image stabilizer cannot be turned
off when the mode switch is set to f6.
• We recommend setting the image
stabilizer to [ . OFF] when using a
tripod.
