When to flush.
Before the first time use
When changing colors
Before fluid can dry or settle out in a dormant sys-
tem (observe the recommended fluid pot life on cat-
alyzed fluids)
Before storing the system

How to flush.
WARNING
Before you flush, be sure the heater is turned off
and the fluid has cooled. This is to reduce the risk
of a fire or explosion and serious injury.

WARNING
Turn the E/S valve OFF before flushing to reduce
the risk of static sparking, fire or explosion and
serious injury.
1. Turn off the heater and allow the system to cool.
2. Turn the gun ES On/Off valve lever to OFF.
3. Remove the air cap and spray tip from the gun and
clean separately. Do not reinstall at this time.
4. Open the filter drain valve (29). Unscrew the fluid
filter (28) bowl. Remove the screen. See manual
307–273. Reinstall the bowl without the screen.
5. Hook the drain hose (8) on the waste pail.
6. Turn the 3-way valve (7) to Drain.
7. Turn the back pressure regulator (3) all the out
(counterclockwise).
