    Congratulations on your purchase of the Grifco® GLMe2 Door Control. The GLMe2 is a state-of-the-art door control using proven, feature packed electronics to enable operation of Grifco mDrive and other mechanical limit commercial door openers. The GLMe2 now carries the same features as the eDrive+2.0 range. This includes the new superior Security +2.0 radio on board. PLANNING The GLMe2 is designed to work with all motor types, both single and three phase utilising mechanical limit systems.

    MOUNTING Mount the GLMe2 using 4 x mounting holes in the base of the enclosure as shown. Holding the enclosure against the wall as a template (and with lid open), mark the mounting holes in the base using a suit- able marking pen.

    LIMIT CONNECTION The GLMe2 is designed to be used with many different opener types that feature mechanical limits. A partial view of a typical Grifco® mDrive is shown below as an example. The diagram further below shows the connection required to the main control board within the GLMe2 control.

    CONTROL INTERFACE The GLMe2 controller is the user interface for the door and opener. It consists of four buttons for control and setup, as well as three indicators to display the opener status. In addition, a key switch is provided to select modes of operation for applications were security is required to prevent tampering.

    SETUP AND ADJUSTMENT With the primary connection of the GLMe2 and opener complete it is time to test the operation. Carefully follow the next steps to ensure safe setup: 1) Ensure the door is manually positioned away from the opened or closed position by at least 1 metre.

    WARNING: Limits are extremely sensitive; a small cam movement may correspond to a large amount of door travel. The following procedure relates to Grifco® cam type limits (pictured below). Other opener models may vary in the set up method. Refer to other literature where needed to ensure safe set up.
  • Page 12: Installing Entrapment Protection Devices

    Devices such as Infrared (IR) Beams and Safety Bump Edges allow safe automatic or latch closing of the door and must be wired directly into the MCB. Grifco® Entrapment Protection Devices such as the Grifco® Protector System (GPS15 or GPS772) and Bump Edge are wired into the quick connect inputs located next to the door behaviour dip switches on the MCB (shown below).

    The GLMe2 can now be expanded in many ways to meet the requirements of your application. The following describes a typical car park application that the GLMe2 is designed for. Read it thoroughly to better understand the capabilities of the GLMe2 before proceeding further with your installation.

    The MinEB pictured below provides a relay output with adjustable behaviors, and an auxiliary OPEN\CLOSE trigger input. It is the perfect solution for connecting a simple peripheral device to the GLMe2 operator, such as an open status light, dock leveler interlock, alarm switchboard, hazard lights etc.

    Power MUST be turned off before servicing or adjusting the opener. Disconnect the supply when cleaning! The GLMe2 is equipped with smart logic to indicate when your commercial door will require servicing. When the STATUS indica- tor flashes constantly please contact your commercial door dealer to arrange a routine door service.
