    You will need to ensure there are 2 x normally closed limit switches on the opener that will be connected to the control. Ensure sufficient room exists to mount the GLMe2L to the wall in the vicinity of the opener. If floor access to the main control board is preferred , ensure the GLMe2L is mounted accordingly.

    Mount the GLMe2L using 4 x mounting holes in the base of the enclosure as shown. Carefully pre-drill the base of both the GLMe2L Wall Mount Control and C10A Controller with 5mm holes. Holding the enclosure against the wall as a template (and with lid removed), mark the mounting holes in the base using a suitable marking pen.

    LIMIT CONNECTION The GLMe2L is designed to be used with many different opener types that feature mechanical limits. A partial view of a typical Grifco® mDrive is shown below as an example. The diagram further below shows the connection required to the main control board within the GLMe2L control.

    CONTROLLER The GLMe2L includes a C10A controller as the user interface for the door and opener. It consists of four buttons for control and setup, as well as three indicators to display the opener status. Using the 6m connection cable provided, the controller can be mounted anywhere convenient to the user, and in sight of the door.

    SETUP AND ADJUSTMENT With the primary connection of the GLMe2L and opener complete it is time to test the operation. Carefully follow the next steps to ensure safe setup: 1) Ensure the door is manually positioned away from the opened or closed position by at least 1 metre.

    WARNING: Limits are extremely sensitive; a small cam movement may correspond to a large amount of door travel. The following procedure relates to Grifco® cam type limits (pictured below). Other opener models may vary in the set up method. Refer to other literature where needed to ensure safe set up.
  • Page 13: Entrapment Protection Device Connection

    Devices such as Infrared (IR) Beams and Safety Bump Edges allow safe automatic or latch closing of the door and must be wired directly into the MCB. Grifco® Entrapment Protection Devices such as the Grifco® Light Curtain Protector System (GLCPS, GPS15 or GPS772) and Bump Edge are wired into the quick connect inputs located next to the door behaviour dip switches on the MCB (shown below).

    The GLMe2L can be expanded in many ways to meet the requirements of your application. The following describes a typical car park application that the GLMe2L is capable of. Read it thoroughly to better understand the capabilities of the GLMe2L before proceeding further with your installation.

    Power MUST be turned off before servicing or adjusting the opener. Disconnect the supply when cleaning! The GLMe2L is equipped with smart logic to indicate when your commercial door will require servicing. When the STATUS indica- tor flashes constantly please contact your commercial door dealer to arrange a routine door service.
