2-14. SUB BRIGHT, SUB CONTRAST
Adjustment (33 K)
1. Input the 33 K monoscope signal to the COMPO-
NENT IN connector.
Put the unit into the service mode.
Select WHITE BALANCE.
Select [SUB-BRIGHT| 7
Set as follows from the operation panel:
CONTRAST; 0 (MIN)
BRIGHT: 0 (center)
6. Adjust SUB-BRIGHT in the service mode so that the
20-tone gray scale will be as follows:
0 and 5 IRE => CUT-OFF
10 IRE => Slight glow
Set CONTRAST VR on the operation panel to 80 %.
Tum off the CONTRAST display.
Select SUB CONTRAST.
10, Input the window signal.
11. Adjust luminance to the standard value with SUB-
CONTRAST.

12, Select UNDER SCAN. (16 : 9 UNDER SCAN)
13. Select SUB CONTRAST and adjust luminance to the
standard value that is specified in step 11, with SUB-
CONTRAST.

2-15-1. NTSC Composite Adjustment
1. Input a 525 all-white (with burst) cut-off signal to
LINE A connector.
2. Select LINE A from the operation panel.
Adjust the all-white luminance so that the screen
juminance is less than 10 cd/m? and as close as
possible to 3 cd/m? with the CONTRAST VR button.
and BRIGHT VR button on the operation panel.
4.
Set the MONO on the operation panel to ON and
measure the color temperature.
5. Set the MONO on the operation panel to OFF. Adjust
color temperature to the same color temperature value
that is measured in step 4 with NTSC B-Y and NTSC
RY.

2-15-2. PAL Composite Adjustment
1.
Input a 625 all-white (with burst) cut-off signal to
LINE A connector.
2. Select LINE A from the operation panel.
3.
Adjust the all-white luminance so that the screen
luminance is less than 10 cd/m? and as close as
possible to 3 cd/m? with the CONTRAST VR button
and BRIGHT VR button on the operation panel,
4, Set the MONO on the operation panel to ON and
measure the color temperature.
5.
Set the MONO on the operation panel to OFF. Adjust
color temperature to the same color temperature value
that is measured in step 4 with PAL B-Y and PAL R-Y.
2-15-3. COMPONENT Adjustment
1. Input a 525 all-white (with burst) cut-off signal to
COMPONENT connector.
2. Select COMPONENT from the operation panel.
Adjust the all-white luminance so that the screen
luminance is Jess than 10 cd/m? and as close as
possible to 3 cd/m? with the CONTRAST VR button.
and BRIGHT VR button on the operation panel.
4.
Set the MONO on the operation panel to ON and
measure the color temperature.
5. Set the MONO on the operation panel to OFF. Adjust
color temperature to the same color temperature value
that is measured in step 4 with COMPONENT B-Y
and COMPONENT R-Y.
2-15-4. SDI Adjustment
1. Install the BKM-120D into the option slot.
2.
Select OPTION from the operation panel.
3. Input an SDI all-white cut-off signal to BEM-120D.
4.
Adjust the all-white luminance so that the screen.
luminance is less than 10 cd/m? and as close as
possible to 3 cd/m? with the signal generator.
5.
Set the MONO on the operation panel to ON and
measure the color temperature.
6. Set the MONO on the operation panel to OFF. Adjust
color temperature to the same color temperature value
that is measured in step 5 with SDI B-Y and SDIR-Y.

Install the BKM-142HD into the option slot.

Select OPTION from the operation panel.
