battery
is a litbium
ion battery
tbat bas flmetions

infbrmation
related to operating
conditions
between
your camcorder
and an AC power
adaptor.
The "InfoLITHIUM"
battery
calculates
tile power
consumption
according
to tile
operating
conditions
of your camcorder,
and displays
tile remaining
battery
time in
Illillutes.
Charging
the battery
• Be sine to charge the battery betbre you start using your cameorder.
• We recommend charging tile battery in an ambient temperature of between 10 to 30°C
until the CHG lamp goes out, indicating that tile batte W is fl/lly chalged. If you charge
the battery outside of this temperature range, you may not be able to effectively
charge the battery.
• After charging is completed, either disconnect the cable fl'om tbe DC IN jack on your
camcorder o1"remove tile battel T.
Effective
use of
the
battery
• Battery perfiJrmance
drops
in low temperature
sturotmdings.
So, tbe time tbat the
batte W can be used is shorter
in cold places. We recommend
the following
to ensure

use:

it tip, and insert it in your

or playback
is paused.
• Have spare batteries
handy
for two o1"three times the expected
shooting
time, and
take test shots before taking the actual sbots.
Remaining
battery
time
indicator
• If the power goes off although the remaining battery time indicator indicates that the
batte W pack has enough power to operate, charge the batte W pack flllly again so that
the indication on the remaining battery time indicator is correct. Note, however, that
tbe correct battery indication sometimes will not be restored if it is used in higb
temperatures fbr a long time or lef'. in a fully charged state, o1"the batte W pack is
frequently used. Regard the remaining battery time indication as tbe approximate
shooting time.
• The c\_ mark indicating there is little remaining battery time sometimes blinks
depending on the operating conditions o1" ambient temperature and environment even
if the remaining battery time is 5 to 10 minutes.
How
to store
the
battery
• Even if the battery
is not used for a long time, store it in a low humidity,
cool plare
after flllly charging
it once per year and then using the battery
up on your camcorder.
This is to maintain
the battery
s flmctions.
• To use the battery
up on your camcorder,
leave your camcorder
in tbe sbooting
mode
until there is no more battery
power
left without
a cassette
inserted.
Battery
life
• Tbe battery
life is limited.
Battery raparity
drops
little by little as you use it more and
more. and as time passes. When the available
battery
time is shortened
considerably,
a
probable
cause is that tile batter y has reached
the end of its life. Buy a new battery.
• The battery
life varies according
to how it is stored and operating
conditions
and
environment
for each battery
pack.
