PREPARATION

This system is designed to be stacked vertically.
Notes:
@
If the system is stacked vertically, be sure to place the CD
player/pre-amplifier on top.
@
If the system is put in a rack, allow a space of at least 3 cm
(1-3/16"} above and 10 cm (4") at the back of the unit.
@ Turn off the power before connecting or disconnecting any com-
ponent.
@ Aerial connection
(1) Supplied FM aerial
Connect the FM aerial wire to the FM 75 OHMS
socket and direct
the FM aerial wire to the direction where the strongest signal can be
received.

(2) Supplied MW/LW loop aerial
Connect the MW/LW loop aerial wire to the Y and 4, terminals. Po-
sition the MW/LW loop aerial for optimum reception.
Place the MW/LW loop aerial on a shelf etc., or install it on the rack
or wall with screws (not supplied).
Notes:
@ When siatic is still heard even after adjusting the position of the
MW/LW loop aerial, try reversing the connector (right to left).
@
Do not place the MW/LW loop aerial on the unit. It will result in
noise generation, since the unit is equipped with digital electronics.
Place the MW/LW loop aerial away from ithe unit.

(4) External MW/LW aerial
Use an external MW/LW aerial if you need beiter reception.
Consult your dealer.
