General notes
Hybrid vehicles: Always read the chapter "Oper-
ating safety" as well as the hybrid operating
instructions. You could otherwise fail to recog-
nize dangers, e. g. due to high-voltage.
Danger of electric shock
The components of the hybrid system are indi-
cated by yellow warning labels to make you
aware of high voltage.
High‑voltage cables are orange‑colored.

DANGER
The vehicle's high-voltage electrical system is
under high voltage. If you modify components
in the vehicle's high-voltage electrical system
or touch damaged components, you may be
electrocuted. The components in the vehi-
cle's high-voltage electrical system may be
damaged in an accident, although the damage
is not visible. There is a risk of fatal injury.
Following an accident, do not touch any high-
voltage components and never modify the
vehicle's high-voltage electrical system. Have
the vehicle towed away after an accident and
the vehicle's high-voltage electrical system
checked by a qualified specialist workshop.
Only specially trained technicians may carry out
work on the vehicle. If orange electric cables or
their connectors are damaged, have them
replaced immediately at a qualified specialist
workshop. We recommend that you use a
Mercedes-Benz Center for this purpose.
Please make sure you read the technical documentation, such as
the Operator's Manual and workshop information, before carrying
out any maintenance work.
