To operate the HP 524sf monitor with your MacBook Air, connect the monitor to the laptop using an HDMI or VGA cable, depending on the available ports. Use the power button on the monitor to turn it on. Adjust settings using the on-screen display (OSD) menu with the menu and OSD buttons.
You should connect a mouse to your MacBook Air, not the monitor, as the monitor does not have USB ports for peripheral connections.

How can I safely disconnect part 17 (the handle of the monitor) from HP series 5 527sf without damaging the connection to the actual monitor slot? After connecting it, it seems stuck and cannot be removed easily, as expected for repackaging and transportation.
