    1. Getting Started Assembling the Handlebar • EXTEND STEM HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT TO THE TALLEST LENGTH. (REFER TO SECTION 1.3 OF THIS MANUAL.) • MAKE SURE WIRES ARE ALIGNED AND PULLED STRAIGHT UP. • LOWER THE HANDLEBAR ONTO THE STEM WHILE CAREFULLY TUCKING EXCESS WIRES INTO STEM. IMPORTANT: DO NOT PULL TOO HARD.
  • Page 13 BOLT CLAMP • POSITION THE HANDLEBAR ON THE TOP OF THE STEM SO THAT THE PRE-DRILLED HOLE IN THE HANDLEBAR ALIGNS WITH THE HOLE IN THE STEM. • PLACE CLAMP OVER HANDLEBAR SO THAT THE HOLE IN THE CLAMP ALIGNS WITH THE HOLE IN THE HANDLEBAR.

    Unfolding/Folding the Relay TO UNFOLD OR FOLD, FIRST PRESS DOWN ON THE FOLDING MECHANISM.
  • Page 15 DOWN TO FOLD. UP TO UNFOLD. • MAKE SURE TO RAISE OR LOWER THE STEM UNTIL YOU HEAR THE CLICK—OTHERWISE THE STEM MAY NOT BE SECURE.

    KNOB STEM CLAMP LEVER Adjusting the Handlebar • OPEN THE STEM CLAMP LEVER. • TWIST THE KNOB TO WIDEN THE CLAMP OPENING.
  • Page 17 PRESS IN • WHILE PRESSING IN THE PIN, RAISE OR LOWER THE HANDLEBAR UNTIL THE PIN CLICKS INTO ANOTHER PRE-DRILLED PIN HOLE IN THE STEM. • WHEN THE PIN IS IN POSITION, CLOSE THE STEM CLAMP LEVER AND TIGHTEN THE KNOB UNTIL THE STEM IS SECURE.

    CHARGER INTO THE CHARGING PORT. • WHEN DISCONNECTING THE CHARGER, ALWAYS UNPLUG THE CHARGER FROM THE WALL FIRST. • NEVER TURN ON THE RELAY WHILE IT IS CHARGING. • CHARGE THE BATTERY UNTIL IT IS FULLY CHARGED - UP TO 5 HOURS.

    2. Making Moves Riding the Relay • PLACE ONE FOOT AT THE FRONT OF THE SCOOTER DECK FACING FORWARD. PLACE THE OTHER FOOT BEHIND IT, TURNED OUTWARDS AT A 70-90° ANGLE. • USE YOUR BACK FOOT TO PUSH OFF THE GROUND AND PROPEL THE SCOOTER FORWARD 5 TO 8 TIMES BEFORE STARTING UP THE MOTOR WITH THE THUMB THROTTLE.

    Using the Rear Foot Brake & Kickstand USING THE KICKSTAND: • TO LOWER THE KICKSTAND, PIVOT IT DOWN FROM THE SIDE OF THE SCOOTER DECK. TILT THE SCOOTER TO REST ON THE KICKSTAND. • TO RAISE IT, PIVOT IT UP TOWARDS THE REAR WHEEL OF THE SCOOTER DECK.

    Helmet Safety PROPER POSITIONING: IMPROPER POSITIONING: THE FOREHEAD IS COVERED THE FOREHEAD IS EXPOSED. BY THE HELMET. A FALL COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY. * WEAR A HELMET, APPROPRIATE CLOTHING, SHOES, AND SAFETY GEAR. AVOID CLOTHING THAT CAN GET CAUGHT INTO OR UNDER THE WHEELS.

    • TO CLEAN THE RELAY, CAREFULLY WIPE WITH A DAMP CLOTH AND THEN DRY WITH A DRY CLOTH. • DO NOT APPLY WATER DIRECTLY TO THE RELAY. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS, AS WELL AS DETERIORATION OF THE FRAME, WHICH CAN RESULT IN MALFUNCTION THAT LEADS TO PERSONAL INJURY.
